The Steel Tank Institute (STI) launched its new Web site using the Synergistic Networks, Inc., Synergy Web Platform. The project was a conversion of the STI’s existing site, while adding a number of interactive and user oriented modules. It provides the content management system necessary for STI staff to maintain their site content using a Web browser.In additional to the standard Synergy Web Platform modules, the new site is employing the SynNet E-learning Center, an application that provides for management of online course content and online testing. The site also uses the STI member database (an association management system) to maintain site users, providing a “my page” type of experience for members, committees, and the Board.
An advanced Vendor Locator module was also modified and implemented for site visitors to find and locate vendors (members.)
